• Evaluation of old tanks and coatings (interior and exterior) in various stages of deterioration within the context modern American Water Works Association (AWWA) design standards
• Extreme tank heights, architectural “fins” and Core-ten weathering steel construction

Solutions

• Developed specifications for special procedures associated with removal of lead-based coatings
• Modified inlet, outlet and overflow pipe connections to improve seismic safety and enhance water quality protection
