Brelje & Race Consulting Engineers has an opportunity for a civil engineer to join our team in the planning, design, and construction administration of site development projects. This full-time position will be based in our office in Santa Rosa, California, and is available immediately.

What You'll Be Doing

As a highly talented and detail-oriented civil engineering professional experienced in the planning and design of site development projects, you will execute projects such as school, winery, healthcare, commercial, and residential developments. Your responsibilities will include design of site grading and utilities, preparing hydrology/hydraulic calculations, design of stormwater LID features, design of ADA compliant facilities and construction administration. You will work collaboratively with our team, colleagues from other disciplines, and our clients.

Minimum Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering (or equivalent work experience)
• 5+ years of related experience
• Working proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software and Microsoft Office suite
• Professional registration as a licensed Civil Engineer in California (or from another state with the ability to obtain California P.E. license within one year of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Experience preparing Stormwater LID reports
• Qualified Stormwater Professional (QSP) certification
• Experience with developing plan sets for HCAI (formerly OSHPD) review
• 2+ years of experience post licensure

Compensation

The salary range for this position is anticipated to be:

• Engineer II (licensure + 5 years of experience): $120,000 to $135,000 per year
• Engineer I (licensure + up to 5 years of experience): $105,000 to $120,000 per year
